By now you should know that I am a huge advocate for natural baby products. I used to obsess slightly over anything that was used on Finn to make sure that his health and skin was being looked after. I think it’s hard to have completely natural products for everything and you can’t beat yourself up over it, but if there’s an option containing natural ingredients, go for it! Especially when they are so little and their skin is so delicate! It can also help towards eczema and other skin reactions to use something that doesn’t have any of the nasties.
Finding natural, gentle products for babies and children is surprisingly hard and I’ve found there to be a lack of choice. Only lately have I seen a natural bath wash at Coles and I could never really source anything from the chemist either.
Recently I was introduced to Baby by Sia and I was excited. First of all the product packaging was just stunning. I loved how clean and simple they looked. I also loved Baby by Sia’s philosophy. Their products are free from harmful additives and chemicals. They use a combination of calming botanical ingredients such as aloe vera, avocado, chamomile, olive oil and all ingredients are listed so we know exactly what we are putting on to our little one’s skin.
Right now Baby by Sia offer a Zinc day protective lotion, a soothing skin repair ointment and a gentle moisturising wash that can be used for our babies hair and bodies. They also have amber teething necklaces for those rough months of teething that most of us go through (Finn had one when he was a baby and we loved it).
I have loved using the hair & body wash and love that it can be used both ways, saving me swapping between body wash and shampoo! When I use it, it doesn’t irritate Finn’s eyes and his skin is left soft and moisturised.
I can’t wait to try out the zinc on baby number two on those hot Australian summer days and of course the skin repair ointment will be a god send for nappy rash!
